The Greer Terminal
The Greer, South Carolina Terminal is nestled between the cities of Greenville and Spartanburg. We are uniquely positioned near the intersection of I-26 and I-85 which makes us a hub to many major trucking lanes in the area, servicing a multitude of customers. This 19 ½ acre facility boasts a 6 bay shop including 2 tractor lifts, a newly built state of the art tank wash, and over 8,000 square foot of office space. We are also the host to the Superior Bulk Logistics Training and Development Center that trains every driver coming to work for Superior Carriers and Carry Transit on a week-long introduction to our policies.
The Greer shop is cared for by Sammy Mayer who has been working for Superior since 2006, along with his team of highly skilled mechanics, Adam Morehead, Will Brown, Michael Timmons, and Larry Davis. They run two shifts starting from 7:00 am and ending around 12 midnight. These long hours allow them to service and repair a number of tractors and trailers whose domicile terminal may not have a shop, and to keep up with the 30 plus company tractors assigned to the Greer Terminal.
Our tank wash was completed in 2015 and has been busy ever since. This state of the art building has three wash bays and four drop pads for steaming. Also in 2015, the Greer Terminal hired Ryan “Smiley” Coleman. He is leading the newly built tank wash and has a number of years experience in the tank washing industry. His team consists of Chris Turner, Kevin Hill, Thomas Hoskins, and Tyler Hawkins. The tank wash hours are from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. We are very proud of our new addition to the terminal; having our own tank wash makes such a big difference in operations, customer satisfaction, and performance in regards to getting a trailer cleaned in a timely manner.
Our dispatch team is headed up by Vaughn Pitts who has several years experience in the trucking industry before coming to Superior in 2007. Our dispatchers include Garry Braziel and Brian Tollison. Garry came into the office in 2003 and was an Independent Contractor for Superior before making the choice to come into the office. Brian Tollison joined us in 2009 as a company driver before entering the office in 2014. We are extremely happy to have these 2 seasoned former drivers coordinating with our vast customer base on all their needs and motivating our drivers to be safe and on time on a daily basis. Continued success is on the forefront of every dispatch.
Last but not least, our terminal clerk Leann Roney joined us in 2013. If you have ever called the Greer Terminal, we’re sure you have talked with her. She is a vital part of the day-to-day operation here in Greer. On top of processing all the terminal invoices and keeping everyone in line, she helps drivers and customers talk with the right person in the office that can meet their needs at the time.
We have an awesome team and an awesome facility located in one of the fastest growing areas in the country. Our people make our success happen on a daily basis. A great company, in a great area, with great customers, working with great people is what we are all about.
